About your role:
As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing Fiserv's complex systems infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure that these systems operate efficiently, reliably, and securely. You will work closely with a team of engineers, collaborating with various departments to align system capabilities with business needs, ultimately contributing to the company's strategic goals.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of complex systems infrastructure to support production services and platform initiatives.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including configurations, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning and capacity planning measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, security, QA, and product) to integrate new technologies and ensure smooth deployments.
- Conduct system assessments, implement security controls, and support compliance activities for infrastructure components.
- Provide advanced technical support and guidance to resolve incidents and reduce mean time to recovery.
- Stay current with industry trends and recommend technology improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.

Experience you’ll need to have:
- 4+ years’ experience in systems engineering.
- Experience with Venafi Trust Protection Platform.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Experience with Linux and Windows server environments
