About the Role:
We are seeking a Salesforce Release Manager / Developer with 3–5 years of experience to oversee and manage Salesforce deployments in a fast-paced consulting environment. This individual will coordinate cross-workstream releases, troubleshoot deployment issues, and ensure smooth delivery through CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Visual Studio. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident reading code to help resolve deployment blockers quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end Salesforce release process across multiple workstreams and environment
- Oversee version control using GitHub and coordinate pull requests, merges, and branching strategies
- Use Visual Studio Code and Salesforce DX to validate, deploy, and troubleshoot changes
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and project managers to plan and execute deployments
- Identify root causes of deployment failures and work with technical teams to resolve them
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of recurring issues, root causes, and corresponding resolutions
- Maintain deployment documentation, calendars, and logs
- Enforce change control processes and ensure quality standards for releases
- Support hotfixes and emergency release processes with quick turnaround
- Continuously improve release management workflows and automation
- Maintain sandbox strategy and environment refresh schedules.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of hands-on Enterprise experience in Salesforce release management
- Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, packaging, and deployment tools (e.g., Salesforce CLI, Ant, Gearset)
- Proficiency with GitHub and source control best practices
- Familiarity with Visual Studio Code and reading/debugging Apex, Lightning Web Components, and metadata XML
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot deployment errors and collaborate on solutions
- Experience preparing and uploading test data to Salesforce sandboxes using tools like: Data Loader, Workbench, or custom scripts
- Experience managing deployments across multiple orgs or workstreams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile consulting environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
