Job Summary
The Senior Director, Data & Analytics helps lead Comcast’s data and analytics efforts—advancing how the company measures audience engagement, campaign performance, and brand impact. This role helps oversee social listening, reporting, data measurement, and research across platforms to drive actionable insights and optimize communications strategies. The Senior Director partners closely with teams to ensure Comcast’s storytelling and campaigns are informed by accurate, timely, and meaningful data.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Analytics Strategy & Leadership
- Define and help lead Comcast’s analytics strategy for social media, campaign performance, and brand measurement.
- Establish frameworks to assess audience sentiment, engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
- Partner with leadership to translate analytics insights into recommendations that enhance brand reputation and customer connection.
Social Listening & Measurement
- Help oversee 24x7 social media listening programs to identify trends, emerging issues, and audience conversations.
- Lead the development of dashboards and reports that capture brand sentiment, share of voice, and engagement insights.
- Collaborate with communications and customer care teams to ensure listening data informs proactive engagement strategies.
Campaign Analytics & Reporting
- Direct campaign tracking, analysis, and post-campaign reporting to measure performance and ROI.
- Guide the integration of paid, owned, and earned media data for comprehensive campaign evaluation.
- Partner with leaders to optimize creative, targeting, and investment strategies based on data insights.
Polling & Research
- Oversee polling and survey programs to inform brand strategy.
- Combine quantitative and qualitative data sources to develop a holistic view of audience perceptions.
Data Infrastructure & Tools
- Collaborate to ensure access to accurate, reliable data sources.
- Oversee analytics platforms and tools that support social listening, measurement, and visualization.
- Help drive adoption of standardized metrics and reporting frameworks across the organization.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage a high-performing analytics team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Partner cross-functionally with social media, communications, marketing, and customer experience teams.
- Present complex data and insights in a clear, compelling way to senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in analytics, research, or insights, with a focus on social media or marketing measurement.
- Proven expertise in social listening, campaign analytics, and brand measurement.
- Strong data storytelling skills and experience presenting to senior executives.
- Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or similar).
- Demonstrated success building cross-functional partnerships and influencing strategic decisions through data.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Prior Comcast experience is required
Preferred:
- Experience with social listening and analytics platforms (e.g., Sprinklr, Brandwatch, Talkwalker).
- Advanced knowledge of paid media measurement, attribution modeling, or media mix analysis.
- Familiarity with audience polling and survey research methodologies.
- Experience leading analytics within a large, matrixed organization.
- Advanced degree in Marketing Analytics, Data Science, or Communications.
