What does an Application Specialist do at Fiserv?
As the Application Specialist, you will play a meaningful role in supporting Fiserv’s Deposit Solutions Environment, that can include Enterprise SCO, Fraud and/or TCM systems. As the Application Specialist you will work closely with clients, both internal channel partners and external clients. Responsibilities could include troubleshooting and resolving inquiries from clients regarding technical issues, regulatory compliance, their processing environment, software application issues, scanner issues and integration configuration questions. The Application Specialist will have high organizational skills and have a strong understanding of case management principles, while ensuring a best-in-class level of support for our Banking Clients.
What you will do:
Serve as the principal point of contact for both external and internal customers regarding training, application queries and issues.
Perform research and problem diagnostics to determine resolutions to reported problems.
Efficiently and appropriately escalate issues to Tier 3 support team when necessary.
Participate in User Acceptance Testing and product documentation review.
Provide client input to Product Managers, Business Analysts and Programmers regarding product features and enhancements.
Analyze incidents to determine any trends or apparent problems that have occurred.
Identify opportunities to improve service quality and client satisfaction.
Possess a services and solution orientated approach.
Share knowledge and collaboration by developing content and documentation for distribution to other team members, managers and clients.
Handle pressure situations with clarity, focus and professionalism.
Resolve conflict and difficult issues in a professional, assertive, and dedicated manner.
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications with ability to explain complex technical ideas in easy-to-understand business terms.

What you will need to have:
Associate's degree in applicable field and/or 3 years of relevant experience.
1+ year of experience in Application Support or Client Implementation position.
1+ year using PC skills in MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Strong knowledge of client management and technical support procedures.
What would be nice to have:
Exposure or experience in Item Processing
Knowledge of Check Processing and Fraud Systems
Consistent track record in attaining and exceeding of quota-based metrics.
Prior experience in Banking, Credit Union, or other Financial Services positions.
Exposure to financial services client system integrations, operations, or client support experience.
Exposure to Fiserv or Software solutions.
