Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure all repair processes and shop activities adhere to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Lead the development, validation, and implementation of repair processes for aerospace components, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to repair processes, equipment, and materials.
- Drive lean initiatives to improve repair efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance delivery performance.
- Develop and maintain repair documentation, including work instructions, standard work, and technical manuals.
- Mentor and train repair engineers and technicians, fostering technical expertise and professional growth.
- Interface with customers to address technical inquiries, provide repair status updates, and ensure satisfaction with repair outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement using lean methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, aerospace, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace repair engineering or overhaul shop operations.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in engineering leadership role.
- Experience with lean methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FAA/EASA standards.
- Proficiency in repair documentation and technical writing
