First Command has partnered with the Department of Defense and Hiring Our Heroes to assist with a smooth military transition to civilian life. Our internship programs emphasize professional development and help match your skills with private sector positions so you can find the best fit for your next career – all while you’re still on active duty.
- Department of Defense SkillBridge allows you to use up to the last 180 days of service to train and work with an authorized industry partner such as First Command.
- Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program is a 12-week fellowship combining classroom education and on-the-job experience at participating organizations.
- Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Fellowship Program offers military spouses the opportunity to connect and work with participating organizations based on skills and preferences. This six-week paid program consists of classroom and experiential learning at a local host company.
