Position Summary Details The Lead Janitor oversees the custodial team and ensures that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role includes hands-on cleaning duties, supervision of janitorial staff, scheduling, inventory management, and coordination with other departments to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate daily activities of janitorial staff.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms and common areas.
- Inspect facilities regularly to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Train new custodial staff and provide ongoing guidance and support.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order replacements as needed.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare work schedules and assign tasks to team members.
- Report any major repairs or issues to the Facilities Manager.
Qualifications - Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications - Customer Service Experience
- One year of lead or supervisory experience
