Boeing is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at Kennedy Space Center, FL. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and production of the CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, which is designed to transport crew to the International Space Station and beyond. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for the Starliner program.
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and assembly of components.
Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Support root cause analysis and corrective action for manufacturing issues.
Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and tooling requirements.
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and assembly.
Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related discipline
Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes and standards
Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with spacecraft primary structure manufacturing or assembly
Experience with Model Based Instruction (MBI) production planning
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principle
Familiarity with quality assurance processes and tools

Summary pay range, level 2: $75,650 - $102,350
