The VP of IT is a true technologist with an acute commercial orientation who ensures a measured and purposeful approach to the provisioning of the world-class solutions that empower the Fiserv brand. You will be the nucleus of technology service improvement and evolution. You will lead holistically across multiple verticals within Fiserv technology services and acts as the catalyst for service excellence while promoting accountability for stable, secure, and resilient platforms and products to enable Fiserv Clients. As the conduit and representative of business-oriented technology services consistent client focus is critical, as is applying your deep knowledge that reaches across architecture, engineering, and operational disciplines. You will partner directly with the CIO and Business Lead to define and execute critical business objectives.
What you’ll do:
- Lead as the single point of accountability to our Clients, the Business and to the FTS organization for technology service provisioning while using your technical and commercial acumen and expertise to enable business profitability in the technology solution portfolio.
- Optimize technology utilization across the spectrum of internal and external stakeholders, in line with functional and financial goals.
- Drive efficient technology outcomes by leveraging initiative management, new product adoption, automation, and lifecycle management opportunities to the fullest.
- Showcase your expertise of the production architecture and brings together product development, clients, and infrastructure providers.
- Build, improve and sustain ongoing operational support of servers, storage, middleware, and databases within Fiserv’s walls or from an external infrastructure vendor supporting their applications and services.
- Oversee level 2 support of all assigned applications in a 24x7 production availability/stability support environment.
- Review and approve all Change Requests that potentially impact the business while being a key player in DR/BCP exercises.
- Work collaboratively with global technology functions to deliver technology standards across the Fiserv regions and maintains adherence to corporate policies while developing strategic plans identifying opportunities to improve Service Quality while minimizing costs.
Experience you’ll need to have:
- 15+ years of related technical and business experience, preferably within Financial Services and Payments Technology Industries.
- 10+ years of experience building and maintaining an organization with authoritative knowledge of IT functions in multiple enterprise systems.
- 10+ years of experience working within the ITIL framework and business operations, policies, and practices and of the industry supported.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Strong knowledge of emerging technology and the application of the technology in global environments – particularly enterprise level, high volume processing environments.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and thought leadership, ability to influence decision makers and gain consensus on difficult issues.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills, coupled with a highly collaborative ability to work across a global and matrixed organization with the ability to identify, develop and find innovative business and technology solutions for clients.
- Knowledge and expertise of the production architecture that brings together product development, clients, and infrastructure providers.
