Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Developing, optimizing, and managing CNC CAM files for turning and/or milling applications to ensure efficient and accurate machining operations.
- Updating and maintaining detailed process sheets to support consistent and high-quality production workflows.
- Analyzing and interpreting engineering blueprints and technical specifications to guide manufacturing processes.
- Designing and engineering custom fixturing solutions to enhance precision and stability during machining.
- Selecting and evaluating appropriate tools and cutting equipment to optimize machining performance and part quality.
- Remain current in the state of the art within own technical specialty for new products introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions
- Support other GE businesses, supplier, and internal / external customers
- Serve as a recognized leader in defining the state of the art in own technical specialty to anticipate, develop and apply technology to current and future business opportunities
- Provide engineering support, within one's specialty, to teams working on performance, mechanical design, and manufacturing
- Leverage expertise to resolve problems in the field or during the manufacturing processes
- Make recommendations after analysis of the data using quality tools & statistics
- Protect the Intellectual Property rights of the Company
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers
- Develop and implement training modules as necessary
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing experience)
