Job Description Summary
The Site FP&A & Business Partnering Leader is a critical leadership role at GE Aerospace’s Eastleigh site within the Avionics division, supporting approximately 80 employees across Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Support Functions.
With annual sales of $15M across civil and defense markets, the site manages the full product lifecycle and has multiple new product introductions planned. As the sole site-based Finance role, you will lead FP&A and Business Partnering, collaborating with matrixed teams such as Engineering Finance, Supply Chain Finance, and Controllership. Reporting to the Avionics FP&A Leader in the USA, you will partner with the Site Leadership team to drive results, manage risks, and enable profitable growth.
This role also involves improving planning processes, exploring automation and digitization opportunities, and leveraging LEAN principles to eliminate waste, while building trusted relationships to proactively manage risks and opportunities.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the design, implementation and execution of all core FP&A processes
- Day to day management of FP&A
- Day to day support of the operational team
- Monthly & quarterly reporting actuals, design of insightful forward-looking analytics and management of key risks and opportunities for the FP&A leader and site leadership team
- Engage with a broad range of Finance teams, business partners and accounting centres of excellence
- A focus on LEAN, finding opportunities to identify waste and put plans to eliminate and improve productivity
- Writing & presentation of financial performance packs where required
- Development of reporting framework, identifying key metrics and KPIs that drive performance of the business
- Supporting new business pursuits with financial modelling
- Adhoc reporting and analysis as directed
Essential Requirements:
- Fully qualified professional accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/QBE) with post qualification experience.
- Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheets and cash flow statements
- Strong presentation skills
- Understanding of key accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP depending upon role)
- Demonstrated development of strong cross functional relationships & networks to complete your work.
- Financial experience working in some combination of engineering and manufacturing, preferably both
- Strong excel and power point skills
- Self-starter who can work off their own initiative
- Strong analytical mind and the ability to describe not just what happened, but why
- Able to fluently speak and write in English language
Preferential Experience and Skills:
- User of Oracle with experience of system implementation and upgrade projects
- User of SAGE
- Knowledge of Government Accounting would be beneficial
- FP&A experience including setting budgets and variance analysis
- Strong influencing skills and ability to partner with the business
- Strong ability to plan, communicate and execute according to defined timescales
- Great communicator – both within and outside of the Finance function
