Position Overview
The Interim Analyst will support SLG’s investment team in sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring dual-use technology companies across the firm’s portfolio and deal pipeline. This role provides exposure to the full venture lifecycle—from diligence through portfolio management—and is ideal for individuals interested in defense innovation, venture capital, or national security technology commercialization.
The analyst will work directly with SLG partners and portfolio leadership, contributing to market research, due diligence documentation, and strategic program development.

Key Responsibilities
- Investment Diligence & Research
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research on dual-use and defense-tech sectors (AI, autonomy, C-UAS, cyber, logistics, advanced medtech, etc.)
- Support due diligence and memo preparation for active investments (technical, market, financial, and team analysis)
- Evaluate alignment with SLG’s investment thesis and DoD requirements framework
- Portfolio Support & Analysis
- Track portfolio company performance metrics and assist in quarterly reporting
- Identify government contract, SBIR/STTR, and program alignment opportunities for portfolio founders
- Assist in preparing investor updates and fundraising materials
- Deal Flow Management
- Maintain CRM and deal pipeline data; help triage inbound opportunities
- Support communications and scheduling for founder introductions and screening sessions
- Strategic & Operational Support
- Contribute to research initiatives on defense innovation ecosystems (AFWERX, SOCOM, DEVCOM, etc.)
- Support firm operations, reporting, and fund compliance documentation as required
