The Opportunity:
KBR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to support our Capability Sustainment team in support of Maritime Sustainment for the Royal Australian Navy.
As part of KBR, you will contribute to delivering innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions that shape the future of Maritime Sustainment.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of program delivery, including policy development, and strategic decision-making
- Drive program goals aligned with KBR and customer strategic objectives
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, and performance to ensure delivery excellence
- Oversee contract performance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of accountability for program delivery and customer satisfaction
- Provide trusted advice to Defence stakeholders and maintain strong, strategic relationships.
- Promote a culture of asset management and align team culture with strategic intent.
- Drive innovation, digital capability development, and technology adoption.
- Lead demand management, performance frameworks, and strategic planning.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering and/or Business, or equivalent senior management experience.
- 15+ years in Defence project/program management, including Tier 1 maritime sustainment.
- Proven leadership of large, multidisciplinary teams and major programs.
- Strong customer engagement at senior levels.
- Expertise in Earned Value Management and strategic planning.
- Deep understanding of Maritime Sustainment industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Broad Defence industry knowledge and strategic leadership capabilities.
- Experience in change management and client relationship management.
