This role will be part of the Global Services Finance team in the Legal Entity Accounting process area. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, cost-effective financial services, and compliance—in a J&J way—to our Operating Companies around the world.
The Legal Entity Accounting team is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of both the US and Local GAAP & Tax reporting working closely with the Country Tax Centers (CTC). This includes but is not limited to recording and maintaining the accuracy of statutory ledgers, focusing on ensuring the correct tax accounting and liaison / coordination with internal and external audit teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for country in scope
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and management reports related to tax, fully observing Compliance, Internal Audit, and SOX requirements
Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities – local statutory audit and reporting, statistical reporting
Collaborate with different stakeholders in completing the local statutory audit
Support CTC and collaborate with different stakeholders for tax audit requirements
Manage ad hoc one-time requests, participates in projects as/when required
Generate ideas, foster, and implement continuous improvement mindset, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities
Support automation initiatives and execute process improvements to drive efficiency
Qualifications:
Education:
Required:
At least 1 year of professional experience in Finance & Accounting
Basic ERP knowledge (SAP preferred but not required)
MS Office proficient – Advanced MS Excel knowledge
Be open to new ideas, rapid change and embracing new technologies
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with employees at all levels
Persistent/committed and able to work under time pressure
Preferred:
Experience in local statutory audit and reporting
Experience in a Shared Service Centre of a multinational corporation or BPO
Experience in a Global Account to Report function of a large multi-state company
Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach
Successfully manage multiple priorities, be very organized and work efficiently to tight deadlines
Solid US GAAP accounting knowledge
Digital/ intelligent automation capabilities
As part of our Company’s growth and expansion plans, we are preparing to relocate to a new office in BGC, Taguig City, tentatively by Q2 2026. Please note that the timeline may still change depending on project developments and other considerations
