Acquisition Specialist to join our team in
Fayetteville, NC.
In this role, you will contribute to a mission-focused team that will support military operators and mission partners with expert acquisition lifecycle support, assisting in the planning, development, execution, and management of acquisition strategies for mission-critical defense programs. This position is ideal for a professional with a deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations, who is ready to contribute in a fast-paced environment supporting DoW customers.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Managing and overseeing the purchasing of complex machinery, equipment, and services for large-scale organizational operations.
- Developing solicitation strategies, reviews complex requisitions, and leads negotiations with suppliers and vendors.
- Ensuring all procurement activities strictly adhere to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and program objectives.
- Planning, documenting, and executing acquisition strategies that align with mission priorities and funding constraints.
- Supervising cradle-to-grave acquisition support, including procurement execution, vendor management, logistics coordination, and after-action reporting for rapid procurements.
- Managing an acquisition dashboard to allow program managers to rapidly adjust to changes and analyze cost, schedule, and performance data.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Acquisition, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field OR high school diploma and 4 years of additional experience or associate's degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required bachelor's degree
- 9+ years of experience supporting DoW acquisition or contracting activities
- 4+ years of position-specific relevant experience managing government contracts and operating in high-tempo environments
- Comprehensive understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing acquisition documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- DAWIA Level III or FAC-C Level III certification is highly desired.
- A master's degree in a relevant field or a PMP certification is preferred.
- Experience managing complex IT or C5ISR-related government acquisitions.
- Experience supporting U.S. Army or Special Operations acquisition programs.
- Experience with contract management systems and procurement tracking tools.
Clearance Requirements
- Must hold an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
