Technical Production Control – Advisor 1 Role:
This role will develop and support key solutions within the Fiserv Output Solutions business unit. This role is part of the middleware development team within the Fiserv Output Services/Production Technology group where you will work closely with, Fiserv’s Technical Services organization, Output Solutions operations, project management, and Implementations teams. Candidate will be involved in the installation, configuration, and testing of new Ricoh Process Director software, and conception of new features through development and client onboarding. This position will be responsible for defining, developing, testing, analyzing, and maintaining Ricoh Process Director (RPD) applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. These responsibilities may include configuring workflows, determining conditional logic (including writing JavaScript and Shell Script), testing and analyzing RPD workflow creation. Overall application stability and performance monitoring in AIX and Linux environments. This person will also be responsible for researching, designing, documenting, and modifying print jobs submitted to RPD throughout the production life cycle, and providing guidance to other team members.
As a Technical Production Control – Advisor 1, you can look forward to:

- Manages project/resource deliverable schedules, funding and prioritization of schedules. Manages resources to achieve successful outcomes. Assesses business needs, conducts feasibility studies and develops formal cost benefit analysis.

- Creates, executes and revises projects, programs and plans as needed. Establishes and maintains internal and external client, vendor and internal stakeholder relationships. May serve as the primary contact for clients and vendors. Provides and supports project and resource development activities within own department.
- Decisions may have impact on related departments, resources, products and services across the business.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in order to define the necessary changes to policy and practice.
- Possesses a broad and comprehensive understanding of the different systems/products and services in the market/organization and practices of relevant discipline
- Consults with project teams and functional units to interpret business requirements into actionable items in support of important projects or services
- Supports existing business systems application integration
- Responsible for supporting and administering Ricoh Process Director (RPD) software configuring setup files and processing workflows in RPD, maintaining input devices for data receipt, maintaining printer objects, and testing coordination with internal project teams
- Assists in the development of a RPD disaster recovery plans and successful execution of said plans for both Omaha and Houston(Stafford) instances of RPD within Production Technologies
- Tuning Optimization of print workflows for operational efficiencies providing additional cost saves to the business
- Work with internal support teams to foster a team spirit of collaboration
- Vendor collaboration to test vendor patches and architect solutions addressing business needs
- Command line access with AIX/Linux operating systems in support of RPD
Interaction
- Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other business units, or customers and the company.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
- 6-10 years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience and/or military experience
- 4-year college degree in relevant discipline and 4 to 7 years of related experience in applicable field
- Experience/Knowledge of High-Speed Transactional Production Printing
- Knowledge of postal requirements as it applies to managing mail solution software updates
- Command line knowledge and experience working with AIX/Linux Operating Systems
- Basic understanding of Actual Destination in association with print management
- Management of vendor applications, including applying vendor software patches and software upgrades
- ServiceNow experience for Change, Incident, and Problem Management
- Advanced understanding of PostgreSQL and DB2 database concepts
- High School diploma required
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
- Hands on experience with Ricoh Process Director
- Java/shell scripting experience
- Command line experience working with AIX and Linux operating systems
- A working knowledge of the print applications submitting files to RPD
- A working knowledge of applications that generate print data, i.e., composition tools, host system, etc.
- Have a working knowledge of High-speed AFP printers (printer manufacturer knowledge is preferred)
- Technical/Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Deep understanding of the software development process
