A successful Senior Software Architect at Fiserv translates business objectives and regulatory requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient architectures with clear platform and integration patterns. You lead technical decisions across cloud, security, performance and service boundaries, produce blueprints and governance, and mentor teams to deliver maintainable solutions that future‑proof products and drive measurable business value.
What you will do:
- Define and implement architecture strategies, frameworks and standards that meet scalability, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with business units and cross-functional teams to translate goals into integrated solution and platform designs.
- Lead technical decisions—including non-functional requirements, cloud and microservices patterns—to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and integration approaches to improve performance, security, and time-to-market.
- Produce and maintain architecture blueprints, governance artifacts and documentation, and mentor teams to apply best practices.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years in software architecture.
- 3+ years in technology integration and end-to-end solution design.
- 3+ years hands‑on development with Java, C#, and/or Python, including microservices design and implementation.
- 3+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), or an equivalent combination of formal education, related experience, and/or military service.
What would be great to have:
- 2+ years hands‑on production experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- 2+ years’ experience in the financial services industry, including familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements.
