Shop Desk Advisor
The Shop Desk Advisor will be responsible for both clerical and mechanical work at our
shop desk. The main responsibilities will include approving time tickets and assisting the
Shop Leads with mechanical work as needed.
Essential job functions
Review and approve technician time tickets to ensure accuracy and compliance
with shop standards
Provide administrative support, including filing, documentation, and data entry
related to shop operations
Support Shop Leads with distribution and closing of repair orders
Be able to inspect the following:
- Vehicle repairs
- Replacing vehicle parts
- Vehicle detailing
- Show prep
- Hoist checks
- Evaluate suspension and driveline components
- Battery replacement and charging
Support safety and cleanliness standards within the shop area
Assist Shop Leads with mechanical work, diagnostics, and general repair support
when needed
Skills/requirements:
- Previous experience in an automotive, mechanical, or shop environment preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to assist with hands-on tasks
- Proficient in computer-based systems for recordkeeping and time tracking
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
