About your role:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud technologies. You will be instrumental in designing, automating, and maintaining scalable, secure, and robust infrastructure solutions across our environments.
What you'll do:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes using infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Write and manage configuration files in YAML; automate tasks and scripts using Bash and PowerShell.
- Deploy, configure, and administer cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes (K8s) and/or Docker.
- Utilize version control and collaboration tools such as GitHub and implement automation with GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure best practices are followed.
- Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance using tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, document processes, architectures, and runbooks for operational excellence.
Experience you'll need to have:
- 7+ of experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
- 5+ years of experience in YAML, Bash, and PowerShell scripting.
- 5+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and/or Docker.
- 5+ years of experience with Ansible and Terraform.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
- 4+ years of GitHub and GitHub experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
- Experience with Harness or similar deployment automation platforms.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
