Position Summary Details The Lead Janitor oversees the cleaning and maintenance of facilities to ensure a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment. This role includes supervising janitorial staff, coordinating cleaning schedules, and performing hands-on cleaning duties. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and experienced in custodial operations.
Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate daily activities of janitorial staff.
- Inspect work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Train new custodial staff on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; request replenishments as needed.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
- Handle minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, unclogging drains).
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Report building maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
- Assist with event setup and breakdown as needed
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications - Customer Service Experience
- One year of lead or supervisory experience
