In this Counsel, Autonomous Vehicles role you will work at the cutting edge of transportation law, advising our engineering, safety, and public policy teams working to bring transformational autonomous driving technology to personally owned vehicles. You will provide strategic legal advice that will help drive our business lines forward from technology ideation to scaled commercial sales. You will provide advice to various teams throughout General Motors working to transform lives and shape the future of the automotive industry by helping to ensure compliance with an increasingly complex and dynamic range of federal, state, and even global regulations.

Provide proactive advice and product counseling to safety, product, and engineering teams on the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Act, NHTSA regulations, and state laws impacting the safety and deployment of advanced automated driving systems and vehicle designs.

Location: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of (Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford or Mountain View), you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
