Job Summary
The VP Corporate Communications, Platforms & Entertainment will be responsible for shaping and executing high-impact communications strategies that enhance Comcast’s Platforms & Entertainment (Video) services and products to key audiences and stakeholders.
This leader will be charged with leading multi-faceted communications campaigns to enhance brand reputation, reinforce thought leadership, promote key products and services, and elevate our position as a category leader in video platforms.
Job Description
Develop and execute a comprehensive external communications strategy that aligns with business goals and reinforces Comcast’s home video entertainment.
Partner closely with marketing, product, government affairs, investor relations and customer experience teams to ensure message alignment and maximize storytelling impact.
Lead proactive media relations and develop compelling narratives around X1, Flex, Xfinity Stream and Xumo products, including product launches, industry leadership (events), and customer impact.
Cultivate strong media relationships with national and trade media, tech and telecom reporters and analysts.
Manage press activities, interviews, media events and product PR campaigns.
Position Comcast/Xfinity and Xumo executives as thought leaders through strategic speaking opportunities, bylined articles, and media appearances.
Provide counsel, messaging, and prep for executive interviews and public engagements.
Act as a key player in managing external communication during sensitive issues, crises, and industry developments.
Monitor media trends, and competitive activity to inform strategy and protect brand reputation.
Manage external PR agencies and internal team members to deliver best-in-class communications strategies and execution.
Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing communications team focused on innovation, impact, and collaboration.
Influence executive stakeholders and represent the product organization across Comcast and external partners.
