The Market Delivery Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in supporting last-mile delivery operations by managing the accurate handling, movement, and inventory of inbound and outbound shipments. Your Day at Lowe’s
In this role, you’ll work on-site to support delivery operations for internal and external customers. Most of your day will be spent in-office talking to customers, sorting out order changes, and solving customer challenges. You will use your communication skills and training knowledge of Home Delivery Cross-Dock Terminal (XDT) operations to tackle daily tasks like alerts and collaborations with different teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload and receive inbound shipments from distribution centers and vendors (appliances, grills, OPE, etc.)
- Stage next-day and future delivery items from or for external delivery teams (XDT)
- Load and ship outbound freight to DCs and reverse vendors (e.g., Outlet, Liquidity)
- Complete product assembly and conduct pre-delivery inspections
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Operate recycling equipment (e.g., balers, trash compactors) and participate in sustainability programs
- Perform daily inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, audits, adjustments, and inventory reporting
- Manage all functions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including scanning, dispatching, and validation
- Generate and monitor reports, including RTM worklists and damaged-on-hand reports
- Utilize systems such as MS Office, Blue Yonder, and My Red Vest to support inventory accuracy and logistics coordination
- Execute the Return to Manufacturer (RTM) program, ensuring accurate documentation, vendor communication, and credit processing
- Process and disposition damaged, discontinued, defective, special order, and canceled merchandise
- Secure return authorizations from vendors and submit credits for customer-returned items
- Communicate regularly with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to address and resolve delivery claims
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with vendors, liquidation partners, BDC, and outlet teams
- Resolve customer and cargo issues, and ensure claims are updated in Lowe’s systems
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 Years of directly related experience in inventory and return processes
- Experience working with vendors
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Proficiency with warehouse technology and inventory systems
- Comfortable working independently and in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Forklift certification may be required
Schedule Requirements
Various shift options are available Monday-Sunday. Shift times include: 6AM - 3PM, 9AM - 6PM, and 12PM - 9PM. Flexible work availability is required, as a preferred schedule is not guaranteed.
