Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Ft. Worth, TX is seeking a Human Resources - Intern. In this role, you will be under the guidance of a HR Business Partner Leader. Responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic leadership, direction and counseling to team of Aeronautics leaders in order to achieve desired results.
- Partners with client leaders to ensure the organization possesses the necessary workforce volume & capability to effectively and efficiently deliver core services while managing labor cost and developing future leadership and technical bench strength.
- Develops workforce strategy for client organization that is coordinated and aligned with the larger organization/company and addresses short-term and long-term capability needs and gaps.
- Based on business growth/forecast and current and future workforce – identifies workforce gaps, risks, and areas of opportunity for the client organization.
- Partners with relevant Human Resources Centers of Excellence (COE) to deliver human resources programs and business outcome focused solutions.
- Facilitates the successful execution of people solutions via the COEs by actively participating in preparing the client organization, identifying gaps or risks to successfully manage change within the client organization, and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address those issues.
- Provides leaders and employees with coaching, consultation, and guidance on the effective management of people, structure, organization effectiveness, resourcing, and relationships.
- Assists leaders and employees at all levels with developing and consistently demonstrating effective communication, feedback, recognition, helping build ownership/accountability in leadership, and conflict management.
- Advocates for employees.
- Drives lateral connectivity and collaboration within Human Resources and across the enterprise.
- Delivers data-driven people solutions that are efficient, effective, and flexible.
- Own talent capability to deliver on business performance requirements (right people, right place, right time, right cost).
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or Business Administration with an emphasis/focus on Human Resources, or a related field.
- Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience in the field/discipline of Human Resources applying standard practices, processes, and regulations
• Ability to obtain a secret/top secret security clearance if applicable.
• Demonstrated experience consulting with an assigned client organization on Human Resources topics
• Demonstrated experience managing projects and initiatives, including developing project plans, identifying stakeholders, preparing corresponding communication plans, identifying of milestones, deadlines, and metrics to assess outcomes/results
• Demonstrated experience developing strategic workforce management plans for assigned client organization in coordination with overarching client organization/company, including identification of workforce gaps, opportunities, and methods to address near and long term resource requirements
• Demonstrated experience delivering results for the business in partnership with Human Resource’s Centers of Excellence, corresponding Human Resource’s Business Partners, and other organizations as needed
• Demonstrated ability and experience coaching leaders and employees
• Demonstrated ability and experience facilitating groups to create solutions and resolve issues
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders using multiple methods based on context
• Basic to moderate knowledge and experience with change management principles and methodology; preference for experience using Prosci methodology
• Basic to moderate knowledge of org design principles and methodology
• Demonstrated understanding of human capital analytics and key workforce metrics
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
• Demonstrated strong decision making and judgment, oral and written communication, and business acumen
• Demonstrated basic financial acumen
• Demonstrated experience using relevant software tools/ solutions e.g., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
