This position is for an Evendale-based component engineer on a fluids system (fuel, oil, pneumatic, etc). You will be responsible for defining and managing component requirements that pertain to supplier-designed fluids hardware, starting from initial concept through design, development, and validation and culminating in a product vision. Examples of this hardware include pumps, filters, heat exchangers, hydraulic-actuated air valves, and electro-hydraulic servo valves. The position requires you to execute system and component analyses, coordinate within a multi-disciplinary team, integrate the system with the engine and airframe, and validate the design through testing.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team which is both domestic and global, and both GE-badged and non-GE badged
- Manage hardware through the design process, from initial concept through design, development, and validation
- Ensure the hardware and system meet the engine and aircraft needs by leveraging a cross-functional team of design engineering, quality engineering, supply chain, and program leadership
- Steer supplier efforts, including both technical design and programmatic aspects
- Actively participate in GE-internal and supplier design reviews
- Coordinate with senior technical leadership on critical component design parameters
- Complete physics-based technical analyses and evaluations of proposed designs by adhering to business standards and design guidelines
- Communicate and present analyses and decisions to technical and program leadership
- Utilize lean tools to efficiently and effectively execute on concurrent projects
