The Airworthiness & Certification (A&C) Office promotes regulatory compliance and safety at GE Aerospace. As experts in regulatory and compliance processes, the A&C office navigates the regulatory landscape from initial engine certification through the entire engine product life cycle.
The Global Airworthiness & Certification Engineer plays a key role in supporting engagement with Foreign Civil Aviation Authorities (FCAAs), including validation and continued airworthiness communications. This role ensures that communications align with the bilateral agreements between the FCAAs and certification authorities (FAA/EASA).
As part of a global A&C team, this position involves external collaboration with FCAAs and internal communication with multiple teams to support business development in the region.
Additionally, the role supports the Flight Safety Office’s initiatives in the region, including Safety Management System (SMS) promotions and potential investigation support.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations related to communications, prioritization, and relationships with Foreign Civil Aviation Authorities (FCAAs).
- Effectively address concerns and inquiries from FCAAs to certification authorities.
- Collaborate with local engineering teams, customer teams, government relations, the U.S. A&C Office, product lines, and external customers to support validation and continued airworthiness of current and future commercial products.
- Advocate for advancements in technology, processes, and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin and English
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering role.
Desired Characteristics

- Experience with FAA/EASA certification or FCAA validation support.
- Familiarity with GE Aviation Design Practices and associated policies and procedures.
