Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Financial Reporting Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting with strong accounting skillset, systems orientation, and the ability to work well with data in high volume.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMC). This position will oversee the preparation of financial statements to ensure their accuracy and integrity, while facilitating the month-end close process for Accounting & Finance. This role will be responsible for executing key monthly close activities. The person in this role will serve as the subject matter expert and support end users with their questions/requests on the month end close process and general ledger. In addition, the position will require collaboration with Accounting, Finance, affiliates, other support divisions and external auditors to provide informative accounting updates and analysis.
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the person in this role will support the Financial Reporting department’s objective by overseeing the timely financial close and preparation of financial statements. This position also supports process improvements, projects, and corporate initiatives.
What you’ll be doing
Prepare Management, Audited Financial Statement support related primarily to North American Manufacturing Companies.
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations primarily related to North American Manufacturing Companies.
Prepare manufacturing entities financial packages to be delivered to management
Collaborate with Shared Services groups in intercompany reconciliation.
Administer fluctuation analyses and facilitate flux review.
Maintain and enhance Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
Perform general ledger administrative tasks which include opening/closing periods in SAP/BPC, executing balance carryforward in SAP, and running/monitoring SAP/BPC close reports
Investigate and report significant issues related to ME systems
Comply with and support external and internal audits which include public accounting quarterly reviews, annual audits and controls testing.
Update desk procedures and relevant policies, procedures, and SOX narratives.
Support key corporate, divisional, and departmental projects.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field
Experience in accounting and financial reporting/auditing
Experience in public accounting
Strong financial analytical skills
Strong understanding and practice in the application of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and IFRS.
Knowledge of SOX compliance or internal control experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
