Earthmoving Supply Management (EMSM) team has an exciting career opportunity for you as a Facility Procurement Professional, supporting our North America & Europe Facility Procurement teams.
As a Facility Procurement Professional, you will play a critical role in supporting supply related activities for a facility to deliver excellence and drive integration between procurement and other teams supporting the facility. This position focuses on driving excellence by identifying opportunities for cost savings, inventory reduction, and improvements in quality and velocity. This role requires strong collaboration with internal business partners to meet customer needs while maintaining strict adherence to compliance requirements.
What You Will Do:
Recognize potential projects for driving improvements in Quality, Velocity & Cost and drive those projects to completion and deliver business objectives
Gather & analyze data and convert them into actionable insights that will drive results
Collaborate with business partners and suppliers, and resolve facility specific supplier issues and support facility procurement teams, as needed
Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and corrective actions
What You Have:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or relevant experience
Relationship Building: Skilled at fostering strong partnerships with internal teams to ensure seamless collaboration
Adaptability: Proven success in navigating dynamic environments and adjusting priorities to meet evolving business needs.
Problem Solving: Proven capability to analyze complex challenges, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions in fast-paced environments.
Data-driven Decision Making: Knowledge of the data-driven decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to gather and analyze data to make organizational decisions that align with strategic business objectives and goals
Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Procurement: Knowledge of buying and procurement; ability to work with organizational strategies and practices, and use tools for buying goods, supplies, equipment and services needed to conduct business
Knowledge of a Specific Procurement System: Knowledge of the features, functions and operations of a specific procurement system; ability to develop and use tools, techniques, and practices for a specific procurement application
Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes
Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP): Knowledge of the processes, practices and systems used in manufacturing requirements planning (MRP); ability to optimize planning for manufacturing cycles and ensure capacity and materials availability
Supply Chain Management: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and implement strategies, practices and tools for controlling the whole processes

The ideal location for this role is Peoria - IL, Little Rock - AR, Brooklyn Park - MN
This position may require 20% travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$95,640.00 - $143,520.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
