Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated person to join our team to lead initiatives that ensure compliance with LGPD while strengthening data protection practices. In this role, you will serve as a key reference for privacy governance, driving the implementation of policies and programs that safeguard personal data. You will guide and train teams, manage records and risk assessments, monitor incidents and support responses to requests from data subjects and regulatory authorities.
What will you do:
- Advise and guide employees, partners and third parties on best practices for personal data protection.
- Promote awareness and deliver training on data protection, privacy and information security.
- Maintain and monitor records of processing activities (ROPA), impact assessments and risk reports.
- Support business units and process owners in evaluating activities involving personal data.
- Implement internal controls and establish risk mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with corporate procedures, policies, LGPD and ANPD guidelines across the organization.
- Define and enforce privacy governance frameworks and best practice standards.
- Handle inquiries and complaints from data subjects, provide clarifications and take appropriate actions.
- Manage communications from ANPD, coordinate implementation measures, and report to the Data Protection Officer (DPO).
- Oversee security incidents (including data breaches) and report promptly to the DPO.
- Recommend and monitor technical and administrative safeguards for personal information.
- Develop and maintain internal policies, procedures, privacy terms and notices.
- Assess and control international data transfers to ensure compliance.
- Promote privacy by design and by default in systems, processes and products.
- Support compliance activities, audits and related initiatives for all Caterpillar processes.
What you will have:
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of decision-making processes and associated tools and techniques; ability to analyze situations accurately and make productive decisions based on informed judgment.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems; ability to apply problem-solving knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Influence: Knowledge of effective influence tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside the organization.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions.
- Effective Communication: Understanding of concepts, tools, and techniques for effective communication; ability to convey, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and needs accurately, applying appropriate communication behaviors.
Basic requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree completed.
- Pre-advanced English.
- Office 365 – intermediate (Power BI, Power Automate)
- Previous experience in coordinating/implementing projects and conducting training.
Top candidates will also have:
- Proven expertise in governance and implementation of data protection, privacy compliance, risk management and information security.
- Hands-on experience with Data Protection and Privacy Management Systems, ideally OneTrust.
- Advanced academic background, preferably a postgraduate degree in Risk and Compliance.
- Strong technical proficiency in Office 365 tools, including advanced use of Power BI and Power Automate.
- Comprehensive understanding of data protection legislation, governance frameworks, compliance standards, risk management practices and information security principles.
Note: This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days a week.
