Job Description Summary
Coach, drive and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools by partnering with Operating Leaders in business management roles (e.g. GM of Business Unit, or Executive Lead of a Function). This role is crucial in driving a shift in operating mindset and ensuring lean principles are effectively applied to support strategic engineering and operational business plans. This involves cultural transformation resulting in step-change engineering transactional performance & business metrics.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and Execute the Lean Transformation within Engineering Transactional Processes to achieve Operating goals using KPI-based performance management.
- Coach, Develop and Collaborate with all levels of the organization and functions including Associates, Support Staff, and the Leadership Team to help progress our Lean Culture and drive Continuous Improvement.
- Be a Champion of Kaizen and Facilitate Kaizen Events to drive improvements using Value Stream Analysis, Pull, Kanban, Standard Work, 5S and Single-Piece Flow.
- Teach, Promote, and Practice the Systematic Approach to Lean @ GE and build lean conversion roadmaps & overall capability.
- Participate in Daily Management Systems including Operating Rhythms, Genba walks and Kata coaching cycles.
- Coach teams using the Kata process to drive daily Rapid Experiments and Problem Solving in a systematic way.
- Partner closely with business segments to prioritize and improve critical, cross-functional processes across the Commercial Engine Systems Engineering team for effective transformation and sustainment.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university AND a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering and/or Training.
- OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years’ experience in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering and/or Training.
- Proven experiences in successfully driving change and transformation.
- Relocation only offered if willing to move to our world headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
