Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for a First-Line Product & Services Quality Manager (Level K) for our Conformity and Customer Coordination 777-9 Team in Everett, Washington.
The ideal candidate will be a reliable and competent professional who possesses the ability to work well across diverse groups and effectively collaborate across organizational boundaries. The candidate will be a problem solver who relies heavily on data and analysis to drive decisions and a leader who can effectively implement solutions in an ever-evolving environment. Transformational leadership skills will be necessary to build team engagement and lead quality team members in implementing key initiatives including One Boeing Production System, Defect Reduction and Lean Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will exhibit resilience and tenacity in implementing improvements in an established and regulated production and quality system.
Position Responsibilities
- Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
- May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies. Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role leading global teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
- 3+ years of management experience with Quality or Operations or leading managers / teams in Operations and/or Quality position
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Must be able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Prior work experience supporting Aircraft Type Certificate and/or Production Certificate projects with applicable knowledge in regulatory and quality procedures
- 2+ years of experience with the Material Review Board (MRB) process
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with the One Boeing Production System (BPS)
- Proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate employees
- Experience completing process-oriented tasks accurately and in an organized manner
- Self-starter who creates and implements job-related solutions and procedures
- Strong Quality Management Systems/Business Acumen; Adaptability, Communication, Continuous Improvement, Customer Focus, Managing Conflict, Building Positive Relationships
- Demonstrated skills in team building, systematic problem solving and ethical leadership

Summary pay range: $143,500 - $153,500
