Job Title: Customer Quality/Warranty Intern
Location: Conyers, GA
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our Customer Quality and Warranty Management team. This role will assist Customer Quality in the collection, investigation, root cause and solutions of customer/field issues. The role will partner with Warranty team on analysis and investigation of warranty claims to drive improvements in product design and manufacturing process.
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
You will be working with teams to understand customer feedback and using engineering principles, problem solving techniques, and teaming/communication skills to develop and implement timely solutions.
- In collaboration with Service teams, collect and analyze data for customer complaints/issues and warranty
- Understand customer symptoms and develop problem statements using structured problem solving techniques.
- Obtain failed units and conduct failure analysis to understand Root Cause of Symptom
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Mgt, Quality, Supplier Quality to understand customer and product requirements, design intent and manufacturing processes to develop root cause of failure.
- Partner with responsible party to drive timely resolution of solutions
- In collaboration with Service teams, create service bulletins to rapidly share knowledge.
- Partner with Quality Analytics team to create data models which provide early detection to potential product quality concerns
What are the basic qualifications?
- Enrollment in 4-year Engineering degree program
- Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
What are the preferred qualifications?
- Rising Junior to rising Senior Level progressing towards a bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial
- Analytical and conceptual thinking, using logic and reason, creative and strategic thinking
- Effective statistical analysis skills
- Effective research and communication skills
- Effective with written and oral communications
- Problem solving – being able to solve complex problems effectively and efficiently
