Title:
Senior Designer (Instrument)
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative activities for Instrument databases using SPI and/or AVEVA Instrumentation tools.
- Support all aspects of Instrument engineering and design through project database tools.
- Take full responsibility and accountability for all database administration activities.
- Prepare Material Take-Off (MTO) for Instrument materials such as cables, cable glands, installation materials, junction boxes, hook-up materials, and equipment supports.
- Extract drawings/documents from 3D models, including equipment layouts, antenna general arrangements, MTO, and cable schedules (preferred).
- Provide solutions and resolve comments related to design and instrument databases.
- Develop weight reports for Instruments.
- Coordinate with other disciplines for cable trays, MCTs, trimmers, etc.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Instrumentation design within the Offshore/Oil & Gas industry, including greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Proven experience in administering AVEVA Instrumentation or SPI databases independently for detailed engineering projects.
- Strong background and understanding of Instrumentation design principles.
- Ability to work independently and lead database-related activities.
- Possess teamwork skills and interact with other disciplines colleagues, clients, and suppliers
- Proficiency in 2D drafting tools such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling software such as AVEVA E3D, PDMS, and SP3D is preferred.
- Knowledge of 3D tools such as E3D and S3D is preferred.
- Site survey experience is an advantage.
