Job Summary and Qualifications
As the Accounting Manager, you are responsible for having detailed knowledge of the financial and accounting systems. You are responsible for the supervision of the Staff Accountant’s performance of month end accounting duties, reconciliations, and daily tasks as well as performs HSC accounting functions including reporting of HSC operations and support of allocations to the hospitals. The Accounting Manager will assist the CFO and Controller in developing/compiling/analyzing statistical data, identifying trends, formulating conclusions and preparing complete and accurate financial and statistical reports.
Please note that the hours for this position will be either 7:00 - 3:30 pm or 7:30 - 4:00 pm Central time.
In this role, you will:
- Assist with the selection and training of department personnel
- Coordination of the resolution of outstanding items with the managers/supervisors of other HSC departments
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget
- Assist with the monthly closing procedures
- Respond to the requests for information from Corporate, Internal Audit, Hospital management and other internal management
- Responsible for reviewing journal entries and reconciliations for accuracy and detail.
- Monitoring and following up on AP invoices
- Reviewing weekly projections
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting related field required.
- Minimum one to three years experience in related area (with two of these years being healthcare management experience)
