As an Insert Operator Lead at Fiserv, you will play a vital role in ensuring the set-up and efficient operation of our high-speed mail inserting machines on the production floor. You will coordinate the insert work by interpreting production orders based on priority while identifying and troubleshooting problems that arise and suggest ways to improve the processes. Your leadership and attention to detail will be essential to the effective operation of the high-speed mail inserting machines at our facility.
What you will do:
- Oversee the set-up, operation, and maintenance of high-speed mail inserting machines, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Interpret production orders and coordinate insert work based on priority, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
- Monitor operations to identify any issues or disruptions that occur during the inserting process. Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve these issues promptly.
- Suggest and implement improvements to operational processes to enhance productivity and efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Ensure that all inserted mail meets quality standards and complies with client specifications, conducting regular checks and adjustments as needed.
- Serve as a role model for best practices in mail handling, fostering a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration and excellence.
- Assume the responsibilities of the shift supervisor when necessary, ensuring continued leadership in the absence of the supervisor.
What you will need to have:
- High School Diploma or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
- 4+ years using mail inserting using Pitney Bowes or Bell + Howell equipment.
- 2+ years of demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills.
- 2+ years of experience in training and mentoring team members effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards and procedures.
- Organizational skills to manage workflow efficiently.
Important info about this role:
- You will work an assigned schedule of: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
- Flexibility in schedule to work required overtime that includes weekends and holidays.
