Job Summary
This position serves as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical solutions within the Business Intelligence team. Acting as an internal consultant, you will partner closely with the Analytics team to transform complex business requirements into actionable reporting assets, dashboards, and automated solutions that drive strategic decision-making across the enterprise. Your work will directly impact how leaders across multiple business functions access, interpret, and leverage data to achieve organizational goals. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen, as you will spend equal time gathering and translating stakeholder needs and developing sophisticated BI solutions that align with long-term strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Revenue Analytics and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document reporting requirements
- Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable BI deliverables and technical specifications
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights to end users
- Build and optimize database tables and work with stored procedures to support robust reporting infrastructure
- Monitor and maintain data quality standards across reporting assets to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Support and enhance ETL processes in collaboration with the dedicated ETL development team
- Curate and manage datasets to enable efficient reporting and analysis
- Leverage automation tools and techniques to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency
- Provide comprehensive training to end users on BI tools and newly deployed reporting solutions
- Support the adoption and ongoing use of dashboards and reporting solutions across the organization
- Document processes, workflows, and technical specifications to maintain knowledge continuity
- Ensure all BI deliverables align with the organization's long-term Business Intelligence strategy
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex queries and stored procedures
- Expertise in BI tools, particularly MicroStrategy
- Strong experience with data warehousing platforms, preferably Amazon Redshift
- Proficiency with data management and ETL tools such as Alteryx, Informatica, or SSIS
- Programming capabilities in Python, R, Hive, or Scala
- Knowledge of data modeling principles and best practices
- Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture
- Experience with Tableau as an alternative BI platform
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented approach to data quality and accuracy
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in reporting and dashboard development
- Proven track record of gathering requirements and delivering BI solutions to business stakeholders
- Experience working in cross-functional team environments
