Finance partner to Operating Staff with timely and relevant reporting and analysis that drives the most informed business decisions. Provide analysis, insights and recommendations that drive profitability, mitigate risks and offer solutions to business problems. Work involves a high level of independent judgement, decision-making, accuracy, creativity, and initiative.
- Prepare monthly detailed reporting and analysis of actual financial results and forecast development that accurately depicts all known cost driver changes
- Ensure all required and necessary accounting entries are processed and reconciled monthly in accordance with GM policies and procedures
- Provide support and assistance to departments and staff heads in achieving appropriate cost targets by providing accurate and timely data for indirect material, overtime, productivity, and scrap
- Prepare, analyze, and present various data to other members of the organization
- Search out and correct inconsistent data
- Solve problems and develop new methods of analysis
- Maintain effective internal controls and ensure fiduciary responsibility over all plant activities,including support of process risk management, protection of assets, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance
- Prepare special studies and business cases when necessary, providing financial analysis, consultation, and decision support
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation (e.g. streamline process, improve data analytics
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and build strong relationships with business partners
- Develop thorough knowledge and understanding of corporate and organizational policies and procedures
- Proactively seek opportunities to grow (e.g. develop new skills, attend training opportunities, network, feedback)
- Bachelor’s degree Required
- 3+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Manufacturing Operations
- Strong oral and written communication skills - Interpersonal skills required to build relationships cross-functionally and with global team members
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
- Strong character and integrity
- High proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience using SAP, Hyperion, and/or other computing tools
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy with accountability for results and prioritize assignments/projects with restricted time constraints
- Ability to organize and plan effectively in ambiguous and continually changing environment
- Ability to solve difficult and complex problems with creative solutions
- Ability to assimilate large amounts of data and interpret for decision making and reporting
Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Springhill, TN three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]
