Position Summary: The Salesforce Consultant will be responsible for working directly with clients to understand their business processes and challenges, translating these into effective Salesforce solutions. This role primarily focuses on declarative configuration, with an understanding of when custom development is required. The ideal candidate will have approximately 2 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce administration and/or consulting, with a strong grasp of various Salesforce clouds and features.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Conduct workshops with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and pain points.
- Solution Design & Configuration: Design and implement Salesforce solutions using standard declarative features (e.g., custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, workflows, approval processes, Flow, Process Builder).
- Discovery & Pre-Sales: May assist in pre-sales activities, demonstrating Salesforce capabilities to prospective clients.
- User Management & Security: Configure user profiles, permission sets, roles, and sharing settings to ensure data security and appropriate access.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Create and customize reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights for clients.
- Data Management: Assist with data migration strategies, data quality initiatives, and mass data updates using tools like Data Loader.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Facilitate UAT sessions, gather feedback, and ensure the implemented solutions meet client expectations.
- Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users and administrators. Create comprehensive documentation for configured solutions.
- Problem Solving & Support: Provide ongoing support for Salesforce applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, technical architects, developers, and other consultants to deliver integrated solutions.
- Platform Awareness: Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices to recommend continuous improvements to clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator, Junior Consultant, or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce standard and custom objects, declarative capabilities, and the Salesforce data model.
- Proficiency in configuring Salesforce features such as custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, workflow rules, Process Builder, and Flow.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, client-facing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201).
- Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant Certification or Service Cloud Consultant Certification.
- Familiarity with Agile project methodologies.
- Basic understanding of Apex and Visualforce is a plus, to better understand technical limitations and collaborate with developers.
- Experience with Marketing Cloud (Good to have)
