About your role
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, identify resources, develop schedules, and ensure timely delivery of medium to large projects. You will partner with Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, and Program Managers to manage scope, schedule, risk, budget and stakeholder expectations throughout project initiation to closure.
What you’ll do
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental teams from project initiation through closure.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery and manage risk, issue identification, tracking, mitigation and escalation.
- Drive scope change management and ensures project deliverables remain aligned with approved scope and ensure project methodologies, delivery processes, and implementation management processes are followed.
- Manage project communications—provide clear, concise written and verbal updates to stakeholders, clients and project teams.
- Validate estimates, track cost variances and manage the project budget and resource allocation.
- Identify resource needs, assemble project team members and coordinate with functional managers to secure those resources.
- Facilitate stakeholder expectation management and change communications.
- Track project performance and produce status reports and other governance artifacts as required.
Experience you’ll need to have
- 8+ years of IT experience
- 5+ years’ experience as Technical Project Manager
- 5+ years’ experience in Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to identify alternatives and develop contingency plans.
- Comfortable embracing change and adapting quickly to new directions and priorities.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects/assignments concurrently.
- Able to perform duties with limited supervision, applying a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures.
Experience that would be great to have
- PMP, PgMP or other project management certification.
- Scrum Master, Agile or other relevant Agile certification.
- Experience with project and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Jira and Confluence.
- Experience of software delivery lifecycles and familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Prior experience managing medium-to-large technical projects across multiple teams or business units.
How you’ll work
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
Travel
- Approximately 10% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.
