Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing, and other essential accounting functions for the organization. This role ensures that all accounting operations align with regulatory standards and organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
The Accounting Manager is tasked with producing accurate and timely financial reports for both internal and external use. These reports must adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and comply with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. The manager prepares or leads the preparation of reports that summarize and forecast business activity and the organization’s financial position, including income, expenses, and earnings, based on historical data, current performance, and projected operations.
Policy Adherence and Professional Collaboration:
This position ensures that all organizational accounting policies and practices are thoroughly followed. The Accounting Manager collaborates closely with internal auditors, public accountants, federal tax examiners, and other financial professionals to verify that practices support the overall goals of the organization.
Team Leadership and Problem Solving:
Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff is a critical component of this role. The Accounting Manager supports the professional development of team members and is responsible for analyzing and resolving accounting problems as they arise.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Fluency in English

- Monitors progress against plans to ensure objectives are met, reports variances, and implement agreed-upon corrections.

- Stand by decisions even in the face of conflict or unexpected outcomes.

- Assesses the time and resources needed for tasks and delegates work accordingly.

Accounting Expertise:
- Supervises all aspects of accounting operations.
- Advice on the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes.
- Oversee the integration and data flow between accounting systems and subsystems.
Financial Analysis:
- Applies established principles to assess the economics of investment decisions.
- Interprets key financial statements produced by the organization.
- Uses both qualitative and quantitative analysis tools proficiently.
Financial Reporting:
- Designs and interpretations of a variety of complex financial reports.
- Advise others on the creation of accurate financial reports and ensures the effective use of reporting tools.
- Establish or update organizational standards for financial reporting.

- This position is 5 days a week in-office model.
