Description:What You Will Be Doing: You will be the steward of Lockheed Martin’s Sustainment Management Model (SMM) – the central hub for training, knowledge sharing, and continuous‑improvement across our sustainment community.
This is an experienced on-site professional opportunity where you will:
• Maintain & deliver SMM training programs and materials, including managing inventory and revisions of the SMM SmartBook
• Author and manage SMM content for the monthly newsletter and website and command media
• Propose and coordinate logistics and content for SMM engagements with depots, Contract Field Teams (CFTs) and sustainment teams
• Support proposal development by providing SMM expertise and integrating the model into site‑stand‑up bidding processes
• Lead and provide project management for continuous improvement efforts
• Present status updates, project timelines and briefings to senior leadership and cross‑functional teams, ensuring clear visibility of milestones, risks, and delivery schedules

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
• Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt certification
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to deliver professional training sessions, workshops, and/or executive‑level briefings
• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Systems Engineering
• Experience with SAP, WordPress, Tableau, VBA, SQL, HTML
• Proven ability to design, deliver, and facilitate adult‑learning sessions, workshops, and executive‑level briefings (e.g., status updates, project timelines, executive‑level presentations). Experience with virtual‑training platforms (Teams, Zoom, WebEx) and/or classroom environments is a plus.
• Direct experience in aerospace sustainment execution, depot repair, or production operations
• Demonstrated ability to develop, track, and interpret performance metrics (e.g., productivity, utilization, turnaround time). Experience with dashboards is a plus but not required.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
