Description:You will be the HWIL RF M&S Engineer for the RF Modeling & Simulation team. Our team is responsible for designing and delivering high‑fidelity radar processing solutions for Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HWIL) systems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the HWIL RF M&S Engineer you will be responsible for shaping the next generation of radar signal‑processing capabilities across multiple HWIL platforms.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design and implement HWIL radar processing algorithms for real‑time FPGA execution.
- Define and model RF modulation schemes that combine real‑world effects with radar return pulses.
- Architect the processing flow and create Digital RF Memory (DRFM) algorithms.
- Lead a team of FPGA firmware and software model developers, providing technical direction and mentorship.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineers to integrate algorithms into system‑level test environments.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:• Active Secret Security Clearance with a current 5-year investigation
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Knowledge of RADAR Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
• RF Modeling and Simulation Design experience with Matlab
• Experience in radar design and theory of operation
• Knowledge of RF propagation modeling techniques to accomplish RF target & scene modeling, RADAR systems modeling, Seeker communications and environmental clutter modeling (minimum of 5 years of experience)
Desired Skills:• Master’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Design experience with RFSoCs, Virtex Ultra-Scales, DSPs et al
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Experience with RF target and signal generation architectures utilizing FPGAs
• Develop and analyze radar signal processing architectures to meet mission requirements
• Real-Time HWIL Simulation Experience
• A demonstrated ability to troubleshoot RF/microwave designs and resolve integration issues
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
