THE WORKProvide maintenance support of the Hercules Training Center. Perform advance fault isolation, repair, operational checks, and preventive maintenance actions of Flight Simulators and associated training systems. Skilled and knowledgeable in adjusting, isolating, troubleshooting, and replacing faulty hardware. Maintain host computers, image generators, visual displays, input/output (I/O), electric control loading systems, electric motion systems, computer networks, and associated electronics, etc. Reports and documents all hardware\\software repair actions related to equipment malfunctions, modifications, removal, installation, fault isolation, and repair. Perform operational checkouts and preventive maintenance utilizing work instructions and technical manuals. Complete maintenance data collection records on equipment associated with trainer and support equipment. Apply technical knowledge to solve problems by interpreting design drawings, manuals and technical publications. Provide technical assists to engineers where needed to meet operational performance and program goals. Comply with all site safety procedures, security policies and quality procedures. Complete all assigned tasks with quality, integrity and pride in ownership in mind.

Basic Qualifications:• Experienced professional with four (4) or more years’ experience with flight simulators, or C-130J aircraft, or formal electronics education.
• Knowledgeable and experienced with interpreting schematics, drawings and electrical wire diagrams.
• Have a solid understanding of electronics theory and electrical power.
• Proficient and knowledgeable with the use of basic hand tools and power tools.
• Proficient and Knowledgeable with the use of Test Equipment; i.e. oscilloscopes, DVM’s, torque wrenches and signal measuring devices.
• Knowledgeable in the use of personal computers; to include Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint applications.
• Excellent Communication and Technical writing skills are a must.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends when required.
• Must be able to climb and work off ladders, bend, stoop and crawl around equipment and be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Desired Skills:• Experience with Flight Simulators or C-130J aircraft is preferred
• Experience with “Level D” FAA simulator certifications in regards to meeting established standards for performance and maintenance activities.
• Able to support simulator operations and maintenance actions with technical knowledge of system functionality and design during modification(s) and testing.
• A solid understanding of both digital and analog electronic theories.
• Able to work unsupervised and deliver results.
• Knowledge and experience troubleshooting electronics and simulator I/O systems.
• Knowledgeable in Computer Networking and Ethernet communications.
• Knowledge and experience with Visual Displays Systems, to include troubleshooting and performing alignment procedures on digital projection systems.
• Have experience updating Avionics OFP’s and NAV database updates.
• Knowledgeable and skilled in electronic soldering and De-soldering Techniques.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
