Job Summary and Qualifications
The Manager, Neonatal and Pediatric Services play a pivotal role in supporting HCA Healthcare’s hospitals and divisions by driving clinical excellence and performance improvement across the Neonatal and Pediatric service lines. This individual will collaborate closely with corporate, division, and facility leaders to develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based practices that align with HCA’s strategic goals. Through this role, the Manager will ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective patient care across all HCA facilities.
Major Responsibilities:
· Serve as the clinical advisor for neonatal and pediatric services across all HCA hospitals and divisions, providing expert guidance on clinical practice standards and care protocols.
· Support hospital and division leadership by identifying, developing, and disseminating evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and outcomes specific to Perinatal services.
· Lead the design and implementation of performance improvement initiatives in collaboration with corporate, division, and facility leaders, ensuring these initiatives align with HCA’s overarching goals.
· Partner with interdisciplinary teams across hospitals and divisions to apply performance improvement principles to projects and programs, focusing on achieving measurable outcomes and improvements in patient care.
· Manages relationships with key external collaborators for quality and care (such as the Vermont Oxford Network) specific to the pediatric and neonatal populations.
· Design and implement clinical solutions and improvement strategies in alignment with HCA’s corporate initiatives, supporting the growth and development of safe, effective, and efficient programs across all hospitals and divisions.
· Work closely with division and facility leaders to develop pathways for enhanced systems of performance management, ensuring these systems are aligned with both corporate and local strategic priorities.
· Incorporates evidence-based practice for monitoring performance, improvement, and outcomes of care.
· Provide expert advice on neonatal claims across various hospitals and divisions, ensuring thorough and consistent evaluations.
· Collaborate with patient safety teams and facility/division leadership to review Safety Event notifications, proactively engaging teams to address issues and promote safety across all levels.
· Lead project planning, coordination, and oversight efforts across multiple divisions, ensuring the successful execution of key initiatives that span across HCA’s network of hospitals.
· Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by performing other duties as assigned, particularly in response to the diverse needs of different hospitals and divisions.
Education & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree required
•RN required; 5+ years in neonatal clinical care required (Level III or IV preferred); experience in pediatric clinical care desirable
