Job Summary
Responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for Solar Energy World, Comcast’s residential solar installation company within our Energy Services business unit. Energy Services focuses on Residential Solar Installation and Financing, with potential future growth opportunities in adjacent spaces. This role supports the Director of FP&A, Energy Services, by providing financial analysis, assessing variances, establishing new planning processes, and partnering with business leaders on strategic initiatives. This person will manage a Sr. Analyst supporting Energy Services. Seeking a highly motivated, analytical thinker eager to contribute to a rapidly growing business for Comcast.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Leads key financial processes, including monthly close and forecasting, for Solar Energy World and other Energy Services initiatives. Owns end-to-end P&L oversight for Solar Energy World (Revenue, COGS, Operating Expenses, Capital and FCF).
- Completes analysis of actual performance vs. budget, forecast, and long-range plan for Solar Energy World; Identifies key variance drivers, develops insights and recommends actions to leadership.
- Manages preparation of budget, LRP, and executive-level financial presentations, presenting data in a logical and clear format so that management can assess key decisions and develop action plans.
- Serves as a liaison to the SEW leadership team, Accounting and other cross-functional teams, by providing financial modeling, activity analysis, and variance analysis.
- Collaborates with HR, procurement / supply chain, finance teams, and other partners on forecasting, project costing, headcount planning, and P&L management.
- Leads financial process improvement and reporting enhancements; develops new metrics relevant to Energy Services operations.
- Provides business operations assistance to Energy Services partners to ensure timely vendor onboarding, invoice processing and payment.
- Analyzes emerging financial trends across the Energy Services portfolio.
- Supports senior management with strategic analysis and business case development for new Energy Services initiatives and investments.
- Responsible for direct management, coaching and development of a Sr. Analyst.
- Partners and collaborates effectively with other team members.
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of monthly reporting.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
