Role:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical Logistics Engineer to optimize material flow and logistics operations in a complex manufacturing environment. This role ensures the efficient movement of raw materials, semi-FG, and finished goods, aligning logistics plans with production schedules and customer requirements.
The incumbent will manage inventory accuracy, transportation coordination, and supplier logistics performance, while driving continuous improvement initiatives. Demonstrates strong capabilities in logistics management, data analysis, and process optimization, with advanced problem-solving skills. This role requires a collaborative professional focused on operational excellence, documentation governance, and cross-functional integration to ensure supply chain reliability and cost efficiency. In addition to technical expertise, this position requires strong leadership skills, as you will manage a team consisting of one Logistics Analyst and two unionized logistics assistants.
What You Will Do
- Lead and develop a small logistics team, ensuring engagement and performance.
- Plan and coordinate material flow to support production and delivery schedules.
- Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Warehousing teams to ensure material availability.
- Implement Lean and continuous improvement practices in logistics processes.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP systems and ensure governance of SOPs for logistics operations.
- Resolve logistics issues promptly, applying structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Use Excel and/or Power BI to generate reports and dashboards for logistics KPIs.
- Ensure accessibility and validity of procedures and checklists for proper task execution.
- Define material paths and distribution processes to optimize facility-wide flow.
- Manage acquisition of machinery and equipment (M&E) to improve work efficiency and support key operational projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by leading and participating in workshops.
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Fluent English.

Logistics Management
- Strong knowledge of transportation, inventory control, and material flow optimization.
- Knowledge Lean methodology and problem-solving.
- Maintains responsibility for team performance and compliance with standards.
Analytical Thinking
- Skilled in interpreting data to drive decisions and improve logistics performance.
- Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
Accuracy and Attention to Detail
- Ensures precise inventory records and validates data in ERP systems.
- Reviews documentation and SOPs to guarantee correct process execution.
Problem Solving
- Resolves logistics bottlenecks and delivery issues using root cause analysis.
- Coordinates cross-functional actions to prevent recurrence.
Flexibility and Adaptability
- Responds effectively to changing priorities and urgent logistics needs.
The Best Candidates Will Also Have
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Familiarity with Make-to-Order (MTO) and Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environments.
