Test Analyst – Oracle ERP / Complex Manufacturing & Systems Integration
Location: Melbourne
Hybrid working conditions. Domestic travel may be required.
Role summary: We are seeking a Test Analyst experienced in Oracle ERP (or equivalent large ERP suites such as SAP ECC / S4HANA) and systems integration testing within complex manufacturing. This role focuses on end‑to‑end testing across ERP modules and integrated manufacturing systems, ensuring transactional integrity, process automation (e.g., Supply Chain, MRP, MEX) and integrated system behaviour in production‑critical environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with business stakeholders across manufacturing, supply chain, finance and operations to analyse business processes and define comprehensive test strategies and cases for ERP and integrated systems.
- Design, develop and execute manual and automated tests validating ERP functionality, integrations (e.g., shop floor systems, MES, PLM), and process flows typical to complex manufacturing environments.
- Build and maintain automation scripts and frameworks (Selenium or equivalent where applicable for UI; API/test orchestration tools for integration testing).
- Integrate testing activities and automation into Azure DevOps (ADO) Test Plans or agreed test management tooling to provide structured execution, traceability and reporting.
- Manage defect lifecycle within ADO (or agreed tooling), collaborating closely with development, system integrators, vendors and business SMEs to resolve issues.
- Lead and support end‑to‑end systems integration testing, regression testing, and environment‑based acceptance testing for ERP releases and migration projects.
- Maintain test artifacts and evidence to satisfy audit, compliance and program governance requirements (e.g., aerospace/regulatory evidence needs).
- Contribute to continuous improvement of test approaches, automation frameworks and reuse of test assets across program waves and deployments.
- Support coordination with supplier teams and third‑party integrators, ensuring supplier testing artefacts and remediation follow integrated governance.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Proven experience testing Oracle ERP suites (Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud ERP) or equivalent large ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) in a complex manufacturing or aerospace/defence context.
- Strong experience in systems integration testing, including API testing and end‑to‑end transaction flow validation across ERP and manufacturing systems.
- Hands‑on automation experience (UI and/or API automation) and practical use of test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) Test Plans or similar test management tools to manage test cases, runs and defects.
- Good understanding of Procure‑to‑Pay, Order‑to‑Cash, Inventory, and Manufacturing process flows and how they map to ERP functionality.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience managing testing with supplier/outsourced delivery teams.
- Australian citizen with the ability to meet defence security requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and enterprise program delivery approaches; experience in phased/waves deployments .
- Relevant tertiary qualification preferred (Computer Science, IT, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
