We are seeking motivated and versatile individuals to join our team to work with key customers at their remote mines. This role’s roster will align with our customers and may adjust based on which project you are currently focused on. As part of our onboarding process, you will go through a robust training program where you will learn all aspects of system operation, troubleshooting, and application of autonomy to a mining environment. Once you complete this training program, you will be well-positioned to support our customers in optimizing system performance.
This role provides the opportunity to work along-side the world’s leading mining companies. Autonomy is a sophisticated investment, and the customers that use it are equally cutting-edge. This position gives management exposure to entry-level positions, as mining companies look to Caterpillar expertise to advise as best practices are implemented and new procedures are developed.

What you will do:
·Work with experienced peers to develop your skills.
Be a safety leader within Command for Hauling operations within the Mine Site.
Implement and maximize autonomous Haulage system performance.
Work on projects to ensure continuous improvement for mining operations within MineStar®.
Become a trusted advisor for the customer through close collaboration internally and externally.
Support and advise autonomous haulage system Supervisors, Builders, Controllers and Pit Technicians in all aspects of Minestar® performance, including minimizing downtime.
Measure, benchmark and report on MineStar® Command System performance, and suggest opportunities for improvements.
Develop best practice and improve processes related to autonomous mining dispatch system.
Training program is tailored to the individual, which may include classroom training, on the job training and mentoring.
What Skills you will have:
Technical Excellence: Knowledge of mining technology products and various application methods; ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.
Field Support: Knowledge of post-sales support; ability to support maintenance of hardware products.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a complex team.
Analytical Skills: Analytical skills that can be used to troubleshoot electronic systems to understand root cause.
Top Candidates will also have:
Degree in Mining or Mechanical Engineering.
Additional Information:
Application Specialists work 7x7 day shift. Site is a 45-minute drive from Kamloops, BC. Carpooling is provided to and from site, a hotel option close to site is available.
Domestic relocation to Kamloops, BC is available.
Applicants will assume this position at the applicable salary grade according to Caterpillar's Training Track standard process.
