Responsibilities:
Prepare and organize treatment rooms, instruments, and materials prior to patient arrival.
Assist the dentist during procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
Take and process dental X-rays as prescribed by the dentist.
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including recording treatment notes and updates in the dental software.
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA and infection control protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels for dental supplies and order as needed.
Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as 3D printing of models, night guards and dentures and fabricating temporary restorations.
Become familiar with and comfortable with 3D printing technology and intraoral scanning.
Schedule patient appointments and manage the front desk as needed, including answering phones and verifying insurance.
Ensure adherence to all safety, HIPAA, and infection control standards in the dental office.
Provide a welcoming and professional environment for patients to ensure a positive experience.
Assist with billing, insurance claims, and payment processing when required.
Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills:
Be genuine in wanting to build trusting relationships with our dental patients
Must have proven experience as Dental Assistant
Have in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Proven experience in maintaining dental equipment
Demonstrate good communication skills and have a friendly personality
Attention to details and punctual
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Schedule
Mondays 8:30AM - 5:00PM
Tuesdays 8:30AM-5:30PM
1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month 7:30AM-1:30PM
Thursdays 8:30AM- 5:00PM
Alternating Saturdays 7:30AM-1:30PM
