Job Summary and Qualifications
As an RN in the Dallas Valve clinic, you will perform direct patient care within the scope of the nurse practice act, as it applies to the outcomes and processes in the Clinic. You will communicate with patients and be scheduling, testing, and helping patients get ready for the procedures.
What You Will Do In This Role:
- Plan, coordinate and implement the care of the valve patient in the outpatient setting.
- Scope of the role includes acting as a liasion with the physicians, patient/families and ancillary departments. Assessment of financial, medical and social resources of current and potential valve program patients in conjunction with the research team.
- Coordination of information flow among the medical, nursing, financial, and research staff as appropriate.
- Development and implement a teaching plan with the patient and family. To include lab values, medication overview and diagnosis related information.
- Assist the research team in the coordination of patient charts, diagnostic studies and other applicable information per research protocol
- Other duties as assigned
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Associate Degree okay to start, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position
- Current RN license in the State of TX or compact license
- Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

We offer complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgical options.
